Aroshell® is a lightweight, versatile and highly breathable 3-layer performance shell. Its minimalist style is designed to be fast, light and comfortable on and off the water for inshore racing and day-sailing. The Aroshell® range’s waterproof and water repellent material provides full wet weather protection while also remaining highly breathable. The range is fully seam taped. The 3-layer fabric incorporates a monolithic membrane allowing the Aroshell® range to maintain exceptional durability while striving for a minimalist performance style. The Aroshell® salopette is designed for highly active day racing. The salopette features a lightweight Avlare® water repellent stretch woven upper fabrication that provides very high levels of breathability. The Avlare® upper combined with the proven Aroshell® 3-layer stretch fabric and race cut provides high levels of freedom of movement with minimal bulk.

INDEPENDENT STUDY SHOWS ZHIK® ISOTAK® FABRICS ARE 4x MORE WATERPOOF DURABLE THAN THE INDUSTRY LEADING ePTFE OCEAN FABRIC

RMIT have pioneered the development of a waterproof durability testing method specifically designed to simulate accelerated wear and tear in wet conditions (when the waterproof membrane is most vulnerable). The results of their study is now published in the Textile Research Journal.

This method involves placing waterproof textiles in an accelerated wear device that simulates impact and abrasion in wet conditions. Each textile is pressure tested to determine the waterproofness after defined intervals of accelerated wear.

The chart below represents the hydrostatic resistance (Waterproofness) of each fabric after 30, 60, 90 and 120 minute accelerated wearing.

After four times (4 x) more accelerated wear testing, Zhik® Isotak® fabrics are substantially more waterproof than Musto® HPX PRO SERIES fabrics. (120 minutes as compared to 30 minutes of accelerated wear testing)
